The Karma of Mindfulness
The Buddha’s Teachings on Sati and Kamma
Ṭhānissaro Bhikkhu
Published • Revised

A series of talks on the relationship between the two central Buddhist concepts of kamma (karma) and mindfulness (sati). The talks show how the Buddha’s teachings on kamma—far from being irrelevant to the practice of mindfulness—actually provide the essential ground for understanding how mindfulness best functions in developing the mind for the purpose of putting an end to suffering and stress. The series of talks were given on an eight-day retreat at Le Refuge, a Buddhist group located in Auriol, near Marseilles, France.

- The EPUB format is suitable for most e-readers, except Kobos and Kindles. This includes most e-reader applications on mobile phones and tablets (e.g. Apple's iBooks, various apps for Android), and on desktops (e.g. Calibre).
- Kindle owners will generally want the AZW3 format. Unfortunately, AZW3s cannot be sent with Amazon's Send to Kindle service and need to be sideloaded via USB. Some have tried using Send to Kindle to send EPUBs, but with mixed success.
- Kobo owners will want kobo's “KEPUB” format, which is a version of the EPUB format optimized for Kobo e-readers.
